Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This is an informal seminar for students who are working on their Diploma thesis, MA thesis or PhD, or are planning to do so. The class will give students the opportunity to introduce their projects, discuss the progress of their work and address possible problems arising from their research.
Assessment and permitted materials
class participation, project presentation, response paper on selected readings (to be provided in class), oral exam based on the readings of the response paper.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aim of the course is twofold: first, to get to know the projects of fellow students and second, to acquire and consolidate the study skills necessary when working on a diploma or PhD thesis.
Examination topics
All-class discussions of project presentations, project presentation.
Reading list
List of readings will be provided depending on your research projects.
