Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This class will concentrate on two early books of fiction by the internationally renowned Irish author Joyce: his short story collection Dubliners and his künstlerroman A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man. We will also read some extracts from his later masterwork Ulysses and, if time and enthusiasm permit, from Finnegans Wake. Close reading and class discussion will be emphasized.
