Assessment and permitted materials
Participation in class discussions based on background reading and completion of a portfolio.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The aim of this course is to help pre-service students develop a professional understanding of the roles of an EFL teacher and familiarize them with some basic issues of ELT methodology. In combination with the course Introduction to Language Teaching 2 the course aims at preparing students for the so called FAP (fachspezifisches Schulpraktikum) by enabling them to develop first expertise for the teaching of language skills and the language system.
