Note: Classes take place between 8.30 and 9.30, even though u:space says something different. There are 10 60-minute sessions (instead of 14 45-minute sessions).
This is NOT a lecture; attendance is compulsory (see “Mindestanforderungen”).Small group visits to the English and American Studies Library will take place in various time slots within a fixed period: dates to be announced.A tutorial accompanies the lecture course in which participants will revise the theoretical concepts discussed in the lecture as well as practice the most important aspects of information and research literacy. The tutorial will also prepare students for future Proseminar and Seminar classes as they will learn how research can be conducted and presented in the form of a written paper. The parallel tutorials are on Wednesdays (18-20 in SR5) and Fridays (14-16 in SR5). Attendance is not mandatory. Grading scale: 1 (sehr gut) 100-90%; 2 (gut) 89-80%; 3 (befriedigend), 79-70%; 4 (genügend) 69-60%; 5 (nicht genügend) 59-0%.
