Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
Participants are expected to
a) prepare the reading assignments, b) be actively engaged in discussing topics in class, c) write a proposal of a small individual project, d) give a presentation of their individual projects in class, e) write a term paper.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants will be assessed on the basis of assignments, class participation, proposal, presentation and a seminar paper. The proposal, presentation and paper are based on a research project each participant will select and work on during the course.Assessment criteria: in-class participation (20%); presentation (20%); proposal (10%); seminar paper (50%).
Examination topics
This is an interactive course, involving discussions, group work and presentations. The participants will be required to give an in-class presentation and to produce a seminar paper.
