Aims, contents and method of the course

Regular attendance, active participation in class, PowerPoint presentation, final test (written).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
It is the aim of this course to introduce students to some of the classics of the Irish Short Story tradition and their filmic counterparts/adaptations (or vice versa) and explore the intermedial connections between literature and film.
Examination topics
Team presentations, class discussion; classroom discourse will be supplemented by visual aids.
Reading list
A customised anthology will be available from StudienServiceStelle Anglistik after Feb 28. Further material for obligatory and ancillary reading will be provided on an e-learning platform.
