Written examination (multiple-choice / MC questions, application & open questions, phonemic transcription).
The exam sittings will take place on-site (i.e. we'll have "Präsenzprüfungen").
These are the planned dates for the 4 exam sittings ('Prüfungstermine'):
1st: Tue, July 6, 2021; C1 and AudiMax (ZfT), starting at 8:30 a.m.
2nd: Tue, Sept 28, 2021; between 8-11 o'clock (most likely starting at 8:30 a.m.)
3rd: Fri, Nov. 26, 2021; between 8-11 o'clock (most likely starting at 8 a.m.)
4th: Fri, Feb. 4, 2022; between 5 and 8 p.m. (most likely starting at 3:15 p.m.)

Students will be familiar with the basic principles of phonetics & phonology, sociolinguistics, pragmatics & discourse analysis, first & second language acquisition. They will be able to apply their knowledge to English texts. Students will be able to read and write English in phonemic transcription (IPA).
