Aims, contents and method of the course

You cannot learn a language without learning words. Lexical learning therefore is at the heart of foreign language learning. This seminar will look at both the teaching and the acquisition of vocabulary. A wide range of different ways of presenting, practising, memorising and assessing vocabulary will be discussed on the basis of recent research into the learning of words and collocations.
