The course focuses on the three main categories of ELT methodology: language, learning and teaching. Student teachers of English understand new developments and controversial issues in the field of English language teaching. Additionally they are are assisted in the process of self-evaluating their professional development.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
- Assignments (reading & other assignments, participation in online discussions, class activities, etc.) 20%
- Presenting an approach 20%
- Written exam part 1 20%
Part 2: 40% (open book)All parts (1, 2, 3 and 4) must be completed and three out of the four parts must be positive. The pass grade is 60%.
