The course aims at developing a reflective and critical understanding of English Language Teaching in students through a consideration of the guiding principles underlying professional ELT. Within each of these principles, a selection of thematic areas will be discussed.
The key principles of ELT discussed will cover:- Principles of research-based teaching (topics: the relevance of ‘theory’ for teaching practice; EFL teaching as a profession)
