Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course deals with the general motifs and comparative case studies to discuss the contemporary frameworks of reading/analysing the lyrical forms. Taking theoretical positions from modernity as well as postmodernity into account, the conversation focuses on historical and recent developments in poetry and lyrics. Among the discussed writers are Nick Cave, Patti Smith, Charles Simic , A. Blok, W.B. Yeats, A. Akhmatova, E.E.Cummings, F.G. Lorca, A. Rimbaud and many others.
