Aims, contents and method of the course
In this course we read and discuss linguistic literature relevant to the field of Uralic studies. Subjects of debate include scholarly quality criteria, the structure of texts and arguments, research methods, or comparison of different theoretical frameworks in texts.The students will acquire skills to read and assess linguistic literature in Uralic studies.
Assessment and permitted materials
Regular active attendance, reading the literature, turning in assignments.

Assignments = 80%
