Aims, contents and method of the course

Introduction to contemporary literary Mari, Part I (will be continued in summer term)

Assessment and permitted materials

Evaluation of learning progress over the course of the semester and an oral (online possible) exam at the end of the semester. Students can alternatively write a seminar paper based on a theoretical topic (e.g., historical linguistics of Mari).

Examination topics

Participation (in person or online) is mandatory; active participation will be evaluated. The students will be given access to a modern textbook. The oral examination at the end of the semester will review the content covered over the course of the semester.
