Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Ausgehend von der Frage, wie ein Text als Teil einer Tradition erkennbar wird, soll im Kurs exemplarisch anhand von Texten von T.S. Eliot ("The Waste Land"), James Joyce ("Ulysses") und Ingeborg Bachmann ("Das Buch Franza"/"Todesarten-Projekt") die Bandbreite intertextueller Arbeitsweisen der literarischen Moderne aufgezeigt werden.
Im Mittelpunkt steht dabei der literaturwissenschaftliche Umgang mit Zitaten und anderen intertextuellen Verweisen, z.B. strukturellen Ähnlichkeiten (Odyssee - Ulysses) oder collageartigen Verknüpfungen. Im Laufe des KO wird dabei v.a. die vielfältige intertextuelle Arbeitsweise Bachmanns rekonstruiert und in Gemeinschaftsarbeit analysiert.
