Aims, contents and method of the course
Geschichte Irans (im weiteren Sinn, also durchaus über das heutige Staatsgebiet hinausgehend) von ca. 1000 vor Chr. bis zum 14. Jahrhundert nach Chr. Der Überblick über die politischen und gesellschaftlichen Entwicklungen Irans in diesem Zeitraum wird durch thematische Schwerpunktsetzungen zur Religionsgeschichte, Kunst und materielle Kultur, Siedlungsgeschichte, Sprachen und Literaturen ergänzt.
Assessment and permitted materials
Schriftliche Prüfung. Erster Termin in der letzten Vorlesungseinheit (ingesamt 4 Prüfungstermine).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Schriftliche Prüfung, 10 Fragen zu je 10 Punkten. Notenschritte: 88-100 Punkte: sehr gut, 75-87 Punkte: gut, 62-74 Punkte: befriedigend, 50-61 Punkte: genügend. Mit weniger als 50 Punkten wird die Prüfung als ungenügend bewertet.

Josef Wiesehöfer, Das frühe Persien: Geschichte eines antiken Weltreichs (Beck'sche Reihe), München 2015; Monika Gronke, Geschichte Irans (Beck'sche Reihe), München 2016, Kapitel 1 und 2. Die Lektüre dieser beiden nicht sehr umfangreichen Bändchen wird bereits zur Vorbereitung empfohlen. Weitere Literatur wird zu Vorlesungsbeginn bekannt gegeben bzw. auf der eLearning-Plattform moodle bereitgestellt.
