Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course will provide an overview of the religious, political and economic entanglements of the Arab world with the lands and societies of South Asia in historical and contemporary perspective.
Assessment and permitted materials
Grading will be based on the active contribution to the discussions, participatory readings of assigned texts and the preparation and oral presentation of a paper.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Compliance with compulsory attendance (3 absences will be tolerated), regular active participation and reading of assigned texts, preparation and presentation of paper. Active participation and text readings will account for 60% of grading, the paper presentation for 40%.

Will be specified during the course.
