Aims, contents and method of the course

coaching re the writing of MA theses. Presentation of the MA topic and discussion of relevant texts & methodology

Assessment and permitted materials

texts have to be prepared, presentations are to be given; an exposé is to be written

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimal requirements for receving a pass grade: active participation in class (preparation of the texts to be read, participation in the discussions); oral presentation on the topic of the MA thesis and preparation of an exposé for the MA thesis including bibliography (including reaction on feedback) in accordance with the indications given by the teacher of the course and in accordance with the rules of best scientific practice. Participation is mandatory, three classes can be missed. Every single contribution is evaluated separately. The exposé (and, if required, the reaction on feedback) contributes to the final grade by 50%, the oral presentation contributes 20% and regular participation in class, 30%.
