Aims, contents and method of the course
In-depth understanding of political and social developments in the modern Arab World and familiarity with major theoretical approaches associated with them
Assessment and permitted materials
Seminar paper, participation in discussions of assigned readings
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Minimum requirement for successful completion of the course is active participation and physical presence (3 absences will be tolerated), as well as the completion of a seminar paper (including possible reflection) in due time, in accordance with the demands of the lecturer and the guidelines of good scientific practice. Grading will be based on participation and the seminar paper at a 30:70 ratio.
