Aims, contents and method of the course

Reading Turkish texts of intermediate level.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regular attendance required (missing three times is tolerated); preparing reading material; active participation in class; attending without having prepared the text counts as being absent.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ability to translate Modern Turkish literary texts into German. The texts will gradually become more intricate according to the progress of the parallel lecture on Turkish Grammar IV

Examination topics

Typical examples of modern Turkish literature willl be introduced, read and translated into German. Difficult grammatical structures will be explained and discussed.
