Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Basic knowledge of the methods and findings of Arabic dialectology with special focus on the dialects spoken in North Africa.

Assessment and permitted materials

Active cooperation, test at the end of the term, written essay on an Arabic dialect

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Both the test and the essay have to be positive (50 : 50).
Attendance is required (three absences are accepted)

Examination topics

Subjects treated during class and selected topics from publications on Arabic dialects.

Reading list
