Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
We will discuss different influential theories on economic development, as well as the related empirical evidence and policy debates. This course is probably best done together with Alejandro Cunat's lecture. We will discuss issues he raises in more detail which should prepare you for lecture exam.

Examination topics
You will be graded by homeworks, a presentation you give, attendance and participation in class. Your presentation will be peer-evaluated. Active participation is encouraged and reflected in you grade.
Reading list
Literature will be discussed in class. We read chapters of books from Paul Krugman, William Easterly among others.
