Aims, contents and method of the course

Theorien zur Kulturgeographie; Landschaftsformen, Ackerbau, Viehzucht, Nomadismus, Bewässerung, Transitwege, Wirtschaft u.a.

Assessment and permitted materials

Schriftliche Prüfung über den Semesterstoff in der letzten Stunde des Semesters (Ende Jänner) bzw. im darauf folgenden Semester (insgesamt werden 4 Prüfungstermine angeboten).

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Erwerb grundlegender Kenntnisse über die theoretischen Grundlagen der Lebensräume und Lebensformen im Vorderen Orient und in Nordafrika mit besonderer Berücksichtigung der Kontinuität von Siedlungsweisen und Landwirtschaftstechniken.

Examination topics

Präsentation des Stoffes durch die Lehrenden.
