Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
Because the incidence and spread of HIV/AIDS are disproportionately high among groups who already suffer from a lack of human rights protection, the course will take an interdisciplinary look at the importance of human rights based approaches in HIV work, especially with vulnerable groups and in resource limited settings.
Assessment and permitted materials
Written seminar paper on individual topic (10-15 pages, including footnotes and bibliography) or in-course presentations, participation in discussions
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Students will learn about specific human rights related aspects of the HIV epidemic and its responses, as well as learn how to understand and effectively communicate about these issues with different stakeholders.
