Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Im Zentrum der Arbeitsgemeinschaft steht die Auseinandersetzung mit Entwicklungstheorien und ihrer Geschichte. Von Fortschrittsglauben und neoliberalen Experimenten, über kritische Analysen globaler ungleicher Entwicklungsprozesse bis hin zu radikalen Absagen an "Entwicklung" reicht das entwicklungstheoretische Oeuvre. In der AG werden die Konzepte und zentralen Begriffe von Liberalismen, Politischer Ökonomie und Alternativen zu "Entwicklung" erarbeitet.
Die AG macht mit klassischen Texten und den Denkansätzen der wichtigsten EntwicklungstheoretikerInnen bekannt. Sie will einerseits Raum für Fragen der Studierenden geben und andererseits die Möglichkeit eröffnen, wichtige Themenstellungen zu fundieren und die Auseinandersetzung darüber zu intensivieren.

Assessment and permitted materials

Regelmäßige kleine schriftliche Arbeiten, mündliche Gruppenpräsentation, Abfassung einer schriftlichen Arbeit als Semesterprojekt.
