Aims, contents and method of the course

This lecture has the aim to strengthen the ability of reading Ottoman texts fluently.
The distributed texts should be prepared in advance.

Assessment and permitted materials

The texts are read, discussed and commented on together in class.
The written preparations will be controlled and discussed.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements for a positive evaluation are regular attendance at class (3x absences allowed) and written preparation of the texts (transcription and translation). Frequent being late and not being prepared will be considered absent.

Examination topics

The grading is made up of the performance in class (regular submission of preparations!) and a final short test. Preparation and test: 40:60
