Aims, contents and method of the course

Four main chapters:
1. Intellectual life (education, libraries, sciences, literature, istory of the press) 2. Arts (calligraphy, miniature painting, music, traditional theatre, architecture) 3. Everyday life and work (guilds, leisure times, drugs,..) 4. Court culture (harem, ceremonies)

Assessment and permitted materials

Written exam on 30 June 2020; three more examination dates in winter term 2020 will be announced sepearately

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

15 questions, max. 75 points
