Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This class consists of a series of lectures (in German or English) on the development of epic narrative from its beginnings in the Ancient Near East over (Greco-Roman) Antiquity until the European Middle Ages.
Assessment and permitted materials
As the required examination for this course, a portfolio of short essays must be completed. These essays should reflect on a selection of at least four sessions, providing both a content-based and personal response. This reflection should be based on the content of the respective sessions and independent research on the topics and issues discussed. Details on Moodle
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The Portfolio that is to be handed in consists of two parts (details on moodle). Handing in one part according to the specifications given on Moodle is sufficient for the lowest pass grade ('Genügend'). Higher grades depend on the Porfolio's formal coherence and content.
Examination topics
A portfolio is to be handed in, as described on the moodle page.
