Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The (research) course tries to analyze the Jihadi tendency (esp., IS) in the Arab and Islamic world. We will discuss Arabic language primary texts analyzed in the context of modern Arabic thought. The influence of this text in other languages (not in English or German!) may be researched, too.
The seminary uses dialogue as a tool for understanding and has in mind to reach results, i. e., the texts will be analyzed in a dialogue with the course lecturer and presented in a final essay.
