Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

The (research) course tries to analyze non-Arab minorities (defined ethnically) in the Arab world. As sources, we will use online sources.
The seminary uses dialogue as a tool for understanding and has in mind to reach results, i.e., the texts will be analyzed in a dialogue with the course lecturer and presented in a final essay.

Assessment and permitted materials

active participation, writing an essay (cf. below)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

active participation; writing an essay, good knowledge of Arabic
Grading: Participation 50%, Essay 50%

Examination topics

no oral exam, discussing the texts, writing an essay; the form and structure of the essay will be discussed in the course individually
