Aims, contents and method of the course

target:
advanced knowledge in morphology, syntax, and basic vocabulary
language use level A.1.2. - A.2.

content:
Amharic is a Semitic language and the official language of Ethiopia. It has its own syllabary and its verb morphology is complex.

method:
online-lecture (via Zoom) supported by numerous exercises in speaking, writing and reading and audio material
practically oriented

Assessment and permitted materials

written 'take home exam' at the end of the semester
permitted tools: dictionaries, referenve grammars, hnadouts (moodle)

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

written test comprising 5 questions,
in total, 30 points can be reached

- 15,25 Punkte: Nicht Genügend
15,5 – 19 Punkte: Genügend
19,25 – 22,75: Befriedigend
23 – 26,5: Gut
26,75 – 30 Sehr Gut
