Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The course focuses on selected issues of Buddhism in China, namely introduction of Buddhism in the territory of China, early translations of sutras, or development of Pure Land, Madhyamaka, Yogacara and Tathagatagarbha teachings in China. Indigenous Chinese schools like Chan or Tiantai Buddhism will be examined in more detail.
Assessment and permitted materials
Continuous assessment: the texts to be prepared and revised from week to week,

Active participation in class 20%,
