Aims, contents and method of the course

Concepts are important in religious education because they are basic ideas that help to understand and interpret what is known about a religion. The aim of explaining on concepts in religious education is:
-to understand what it means to be a member of a religion by understanding the importance of its beliefs and practices to the believer.
- to demonstrate how the study of religion highlights important similarities and differences that can form the basis for dialogue between religions.
The focus in this lecture will be on features, concepts, and terms that characterize the center of the Alevi faith.
