Continuous assessment of course work

Studierende von Praxis 2 (Gruppe 2) müssen sich auch bei Theorie 2 in der zweiten Gruppe anmelden. Bei der Anmeldung beachten, dass die Gruppen gleichmäßig ausgelastet sein müssen!
Studierende, die zu wenig Punkte gesetzt haben, werden bei Auslastung dieser Gruppe automatisch in eine der anderen Praxis-Gruppen (1-A, 1-B oder 1-C) angemeldet und daher auch zu Theorie 2 (Gruppe 1).

Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Goal: On the basis of theoretical knowledge, our students will have the opportunity to further advance their Korean language skills in the fields of reading, comprehension, speaking and writing with the help of diverse tools, e.g. Korean texts, dialogues, role play, listening exercises and so on.

Content: Practical dialogues simulating real life situations like introduction, hobbies, experience, travel and so on will be practiced.

Methods: group work, role play, reading, oral presentation

• active engagement/participation in class

No aids are permitted for all exams.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirements
• Compulsory attendance, students are allowed two unexcused absences.
• the submission of at least 90% of the assigned homework
• two written exams in person (anticipated dates: 30. March and 11. May)
• Oral exam in person (anticipated date: 29. June)
• Audio recording

Exceptions to compulsory attendace must be obtained by timely submission of a medical certificate, in special cases, agreement must be reached with the lecturer.

Assessment criteria
Once all above prerequisites are met the final grade will be derived from the result of the exams with following weightings:
• Home work and acitive engagement: compulsory
• 1. written exam: 25 points
• 2. written exam: 35 points
• oral exam: 20 points
• 4 audio recordings: 20 points
60 points are required for a positive assessment of the course.

1 (sehr gut) 100-90 points
2 (gut) 89-80 points
3 (befriedigend) 79-70 points
4 (genügend) 69-60 points
5 (nicht genügend) 59-0 points

A catch-up-examination is only granted for medical reasons. In this case, the timely submission of a medical certificate is required. Each examination can only be taken once per semester.

Note: The percentage weighting in Moodle is non-relevant and purely technical.
