Aims, contents and method of the course
Assessment and permitted materials
The first time attending a course with an examination counts as an exam start, i.e. the course is graded!
There are no mid-term and final tests. The course grade is based on the active participation, in class discussions, oral report and dialogue presentations.
Requirements: correct pronunciation, correct use of the vocabulary and grammar, oral communication skills and understandable oral report.
Active Participation& discussion in class 15%; Homework and assignments 20%; Small group presentation 25%; final speech presentation 40%

When and How the small group presentation and final speech presentation will be conducted, further illustrated as follows:
Small Group Presentation: May 14th. Students will be divided into small groups, a group of 3. Students make a dialogue theme report based on the textbook content learned this semester to the end of April, and present it in the form of group dialogue report. At the end, the teacher will give feedback to each group.
Final speech presentation: June 25. Each student has to make a personal small speech. The topic of the speech covers all the learning content of this semester. Each student has 5 to 7 minutes to give a small speech. After the speech, the teacher will ask questions about the content of the lecture and discuss it, and finally give feedback to the students.

Aims, contents and method of the course
The listening and speaking skills in Chinese wil be practiced in this course. Studients will acquire the ability to give oral speeches in mandarin Chinese, and to communicate freely in daily life situations. Forthermore, culture knowledge will be discussed. Group excercises, Dialogues and Role plays.
