Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar addresses the broad topic of "family" under a legal perspective, restricted to the reform period post 1978. Comparisons to traditional Chinese customs that are nevertheless deeply rooted in today's society are included.
Assessment and permitted materials
presentation of research question. End term paper. Intermediate short essays.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Participants are able to define their own research question and treat it in an academic paper. Papers are part of BA requirements.
Examination topics
Participants introduce their research question and their localizing of the necessary sources in a presentation. Writing of academic paper.
