Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This course focuses on the acquisition of basic Japanese writing,
reading, speaking and listening comprehension skills. Teaching is based on
three elements: Japanese grammar (which comprises grammar, writing,
listening and speaking), reading Japanese texts and Japanese
communication.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Japanese Language Proficiency Test (JLPT): Levels 5 and 4

Examination topics

For the Japanese grammar part, the textbook "Japanese for Busy
People" (Kana version) and "the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test
Official Practice Workbook N5" will be used.
The Japanese communication part will comprise a
weekly internet-based conversation on a specific topic with students from
Chuo University, Faculty of Commerce
(http://global.chuo-u.ac.jp/english/academics/faculties/commerce.php).

Regular attendance is mandatory. It is required that participants be
present at the first session, otherwise they will be unregistered.

!!! Attention !!!
In order to participate in "Tandem Session" (see above "Methods")
you have to bring your personal PC with video function (e.g.
Laptop, Tablet or Smart phone) and headset with micro phone
(not integrated microphone!).
It is necessary to bring your PC and headset once a week!
