Aims, contents and method of the course

Es ist das Ziel dieses Übersetzungspraktikums, die Fähigkeiten in der mündlichen Kommunikation über das Niveau der Alltagssprache zu heben und dabei insbesondere das Verständnis für komplexe Aussagen in der chinesischen Hochsprache zu verbessern. Zugleich wird die Fähigkeit entwickelt, komplexe Äußerungen zu politischen, ökonomischen und kulturellen Themen vom Chinesischen ins Deutsche und vom Deutschen ins Chinesische angemessen zu dolmetschen.
Um die Authentizität der sprachlichen Äußerungen zu gewährleisten, wird das Übersetzungspraktikum Dolmetschen I und Dolmetschen II geteilt von zwei DozentInnen unterrichtet, wobei Frau Dipl.-Übers. Dipl.-Inform. Sun Qin Chinesisch als Muttersprache und Frau Mag. Patrice Gruber, Bakk. Deutsch als Muttersprache sprechen. Dementsprechend wird Dolmetschen: Deutsch-Chinesisch von Frau Sun Qin und Dolmetschen: Chinesisch-Deutsch von Frau Patrice Gruber unterrichtet.

Assessment and permitted materials

Während des Semesters finden zwei Prüfungen statt, an denen alle teilnehmen müssen.
Eine Prüfung erfolgt über Dolmetschen: Deutsch-Chinesisch, Prüferin Frau Sun Qin und eine Prüfung erfolgt über Dolmetschen: Chinesisch-Deutsch, Prüferin Frau Patrice Gruber. Die Gesamtnote setzt sich aus beiden Prüfungen, welche für je 50% stehen, zusammen.
