Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Irish will be taught as a modern living language, with particular emphasis on communication, but without neglecting the structures of the language. No previous knowledge required.

Assessment and permitted materials

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

The goal is to give linguistics and those interested in things celtic a basic understanding of a modern celtic minority language and its structure.

Examination topics

The four key skills of listening, speaking, reading, writing will all be included to varying degrees in this course, enabling the students to learn simple forms of communication in the language and to analyse its structures.
