- Overview of basic Sogdian grammar: its morphology, phonology, syntax; the writing systems employed for this language;
- Training in reading elementary Sogdian texts written in the Sogdian script;The lecturer will elucidate grammatical features, offering examples from Sogdian sources. Additionally, assistance with transliteration and transcription will be provided until participants can read Sogdian writings independently.
