Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

Orientalism and Ocidentalism - these twin terms build the starting point for our course. Both terms were constructed to analyze specific discourses. The usability and possible limitedness of both terms will be questioned in the discussion of chosen films. We understand films as part of a broader massmedial discours, that we want to analyze. We will look at both US-films and films from the middle east.
