Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The lecture will focus on the main issues of Practical Ethics. Bottom-up accounts will be contrasted with top-down accounts. Feasible methodologies will be trained and their advantages and disadvantages as well as their methodological limitations will be discussed. Methods in Practical Ethics (e.g. developed by Mepham, Ropohl, Huppenbauer/Bleisch, Grimm) will be taught and also exercised throughout the lecture.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
The lecture aims to provide the students withmethodological frameworks which they can apply to cases and their own research.
Examination topics
Relevant methods in applied ethics will be introduced and presented by the lecturer. The students will train and apply the methodologies to study cases in workshops and present the results throughout the class.
