Aims, contents and method of the course

Schwerpunkte der Vorlesung sind: (1) Jüdische Kontexte der Philosophie Spinozas. (2) Jüdisch-deutsche Philosophie: Von Mendelssohns Jerusalem zu Rosenzweigs Stern der Erlösung. (3) Zionismus und Philosophie. (4) Die Kabbala als Paradigma jüdischen Denkens. Gershom Scholem. (5) Philosophie nach der Katastrophe. Die Post-Holocaust-Philosophy. (6.) Emmanuel Levinas und der Primat des Ethischen. (7) Die neue Rolle der Kabbala als Paradigma jüdischen Denkens. Moshe Idel und Elliot Wolfson. (8) Postmoderne jüdische Philosophie. Das Programm des Textual Reasoning. (9) Messianismus, Moderne, Postmoderne.

Assessment and permitted materials
