Assessment and permitted materials
In the class, additional to the primary texts, one of the supplementary texts is to be read, which will be described in 3-5 pages and presented in class. The point of this is to create a preliminary work for the final essay and to face criticism and follow-up questions from others. In addition, there will be a session in the second part of the semester after the end of the year in which everyone can think together about ideas for a final paper. The focus of this session will be on what a philosophical question is and how to approach it. After the seminar, a final paper will be written during the lecture-free period.
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
In order to pass the class, you must at least hand in all the texts on the agreed dates, evaluate them as sufficient (4) and attend the seminar consistently.

The seminar is primarily concerned with discussing the significance of minoritized groups' own historiography using the example of transgender and queer people, and in doing so, to take a look at whose texts, thoughts and statements are considered scholarly and which are not.
It is thus about forming or deepening a critical consciousness; understanding, questioning, rewriting structures of our societies.
