Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar is conceptualized as an add-on to the lecture "Introduction to Cognitive Psychology", giving the opportunity for in-depth discussions of selected topics, research papers, and inviting students to practice designing and understanding cognitive psychological experiments. Corresponding to the lecture, the key topics are: Perception, Attention, Consciousness, Memory, Sleep, "The Self". Each of these six key topics will be the central theme of discussion during one of the six meetings.
Assessment and permitted materials
You will need to give a comprehensive presentation about one research paper (ca. 2/3 of the final grade), and you will need to moderate ("supervise") the discussion of one presentation from someone else (ca. 1/3 of the final grade).
Minimum requirements and assessment criteria
Regular attendance and active participation is expected.
Examination topics
The topic connected to the research papers you present.
Reading list
The research papers to be presented and the related general literature.
