Aims, contents and method of the course

The seminar will consist of presentations and class discussions.

Selections from Alain Badiou: Theory of Contradiction; Theory of the Subject; Polemics.

Selections from Alain Badiou: Conditions; Metapolitics.
JUNE 12:
Selections froms Slavoj Zizek: Ticklish Subject; Lenin's Choice.
JUNE 13:
Selections from Slavoj Zizek: Parallax View; In Defense of Lost Causes.

Assessment and permitted materials

In order to receive a grade for the seminar, one has to choose between a presentation (30 - 40 minutes) or a paper (20 pages, 1 ¿ spaces). If desired, presentations can be selected before the first seminar meeting on May 8th.
Class attendance is required!
