Information

Aims, contents and method of the course

This graduate seminar will offer a close textual analysis of the main passages of the critique of (aesthetic) judgment and work out the consequences of the critique for the aesthetics of autonomy (Schiller, Solger, etc.). One focus will be studying recently published research on Kant’s aesthetics.
Grading based on: regular participation, presentation, discussion and essay.
