The course takes place online. Zoom is used for the attendance dates. You will find the link in the Moodle course. The face-to-face sessions will take place at the times indicated. If possible, please only choose this course if you have access to the necessary technology (digital end device such as smartphone or laptop, internet access with sufficient data volume, webcam). The use of a webcam is mandatory. You can also participate in the online sessions from a university building. Please inform the course management if you need a workstation in Sensengasse for this purpose or if you would like to participate but do not have access to the required technology. Thank you!

Aims, contents and method of the course

The aim of the seminar is to accompany the development of topics and exposés for master theses and the production of master theses. The seminar focuses on the interests and goals of the participants. Therefore, the contents also depend on the topics chosen or worked out. A special focus of the seminar is on current media-pedagogical theories and research methods.

Assessment and permitted materials

In the seminar you will work out
- an exposé or a chapter of the master thesis and
- give written feedback to colleagues.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Minimum requirement:
- Attendance is mandatory. A maximum of one absence is allowed.
- Writing of a synopsis or a chapter of the master thesis
- Feedback to a colleague
Assessment standard:
- Expose or chapter of the master thesis: 70 points.
- Feedback to a colleague: 30 points
50 points are required for a positive evaluation of the course.
1 (very good) 80-100 points
2 (good) 70-79 points
3 (satisfactory) 60-69 points
4 (sufficient) 50-59 points
5 (insufficient) 0-49 points
To ensure good academic practice, students may be invited to a grade-relevant interview after submission of the written work, which must be completed positively. In case of plagiarism of a partial performance, the whole seminar counts as plagiarized.

The examination material consists of contents that are relevant to the topics you have chosen.
