Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
This course is planned to provide a general picture of the over-representation of ethnic minority groups and immigrants in special education referrals. The course will have a holistic perspective on the topic as well as a specific country perspective. We will discuss when such over-representation occurs, the lack of transparency and uniformity in diagnoses and referral processes, the responsible factors for this over-representation, the challenges and limitations to form an understanding and the possible steps to take.
