Aims, contents and method of the course

Behinderung und Armut sind Bereiche, die sich gegenseitig stark beeinflussen können. Dies wird vor allem in Ländern des Südens sichtbar. Im Seminar steht der Aspekt der Armut in Entwicklungsländern im Mittelpunt. Dabei wird insbesondere der Kreislauf zwischen Behinderung und Armut analysiert.

Assessment and permitted materials

Die Beurteilung setzt sich aus der Anwesenheit (30 %), der Mitarbeit (30 %) und der Seminararbeit (40 %) zusammen.

Minimum requirements and assessment criteria

Ziel des Seminars ist es, die StudentInnen durch die Lektüre ausgewählter Texte und Diskussionen zu kritischem Denken anzuregen und die Zusammenhänge von Armut und Behinderung einerseits zu verstehen und andererseits kritisch zu hinterfragen. Anhand ausgewählter Literatur erhalten diese Diskussionen zusätzlichen wissenschaftlichen Input.

Für einen Abschluss des Seminars ist die 14-tägige Lektüre eines Textes mit anschließender kritischer Stellungnahme erforderlich, welche online auf der Moodle Plattform eingereicht wird. Die somit schon im Vorhinein gewonnenen Einsichten in die Texte und aufkommende Fragen werden im Plenum diskutiert.
