Information
Aims, contents and method of the course
The seminar deals with the connection between economy and education. This is not meant in the sense of business education, it is also not about the 'production' of the 'Homo Ökonomikus'. Rather, it is about examining the connection between economy and pedagogy as human / social practices and discussing and testing concepts of this relationship that are compatible with the "'imits to growth'.TheoryFor this it is necessary to think about the connection between economy and education and to address the basics and fundamental problems of the economic, especially the capitalist, system. Then the limits of growth are addressed and alternative economic concepts are discussed. The perspective in and from which this discussion is conducted is that of the concept of the 'buen vivier' of the good life.Key concepts of the discussion are: justice, freedom, peace - ultimately our being in the world.PracticeThe seminar should not remain in theory, but should offer the opportunity to try out and practice aspects of a new relationship between education and economy. To this end, we design the seminars as symposia in the literal sense. That means they become a banquet that already realizes aspects of the good life.
